Activites 2017 - 2018
Essay competition on 15th September,
2017
On 15th September, an essay competition was held for
the 2nd year and 3rd year students. This was held under ISTE students'
chapter 2017-18 of VPM'S POLYTECHNIC THANE. Total 18 students participated
in the competition from all departments. Participants were allowed
to write the essay in Marathi, Hindi and English language.
Extempore competition on 15th
September, 2017
Second and Third year students participated in extempore competition.
The students could select any language like Hindi, Marathi or English
for the competition. Participants were given 2 minutes to think and
3 minutes for presenting the topic. Total 8 students participated
in this competition.
Quiz competition on 15th September,
2017
On 15th September, Quiz competition was held for 2nd year and 3rd
year students. One of each department was formed.
Buzzer app was provided to each group which was monitored by a single
phone. Time allotted to answer the question was 30 seconds. Students
showed active participation and as well as good co-operation with
the volunteers. 30 questions were asked in first level and 20 questions
were asked in group of 5 students final level.
Blood Donation camp on 8th December,
2017
V.P.M's polytechnic in association with HDFC Bank and 'Plasma Diagnostics
laboratories Blood Bank.' Blood Donation camp was organized on Friday,
8th December 2017 between 9.00 AM to 2.30 PM. at GCIC-1,ground floor,
polytechnic Building. Staff and students of polytechnic participated
in large numbers in the noble initiative.
Women's Day celebration (8th March 2018)
ISTE Chapter (2017-18) VPM's Polytechnic celebrated International
Women's Day on 8th March 2018.
Mrs. Pushpalata Dumbre (Nutritionists & Diet Consultant) was the
chief guest of the occasion. She focused on deficiencies of nutrients,
unhealthy habits and poor life style of modern women. She also elaborated
various health issues and preventing measures, monitored in effective
and simple way.
